Manchester Metropolitan University BeReal at LaXmas
Manchester Metropolitan University Lacrosse Club celebrated the festive period early during their final training session of the term before winter break this week.
The club had a Merry LaXmas on Monday 12th December- with Christmas songs, tinsel scarves, and chocolate treats!
BeReal timed during their game of 'Singing Balls' (a lacrosse adaptation of musical chairs substituted for ground balls) in which Team Captain, Niamh Reavill, provided the music…
Niamh forgot to bring along speakers for musical motivation, but improvised with a singalong of hit Christmas songs!
Festive dress was obligatory- with jumpers, tinsel, and hats featuring alongside many layers of coats and scarves to combat Manchester’s winter chill.
There was also a chocolate coin treasure hunt around the astro pitch, and two rainbow pinatas hung in goal.
This provided a great combination of entertainment and target practice, as players took turns to shoot for sweets.
The session was held at MMU Lacrosse’s usual training ground, Platt Lane Sports Complex, in the dome. Although chilly, players were largely sheltered from the elements!
